Different types of tree pruning

Crown lift

A crown lift is used for when light is being blocked by a tree. We remove the lower branches of the tree which in turn makes the tree look more aesthetically balanced. We often thin the crown of a tree to allow more light into the garden or a section of the house.

Crown thinning

If the crown of a tree is too thick, then an option is to thin the crown and allow more light into the rest of the body of the tree. We ensure the overall shape of the tree is maintained so it can still withstand high winds and remain safe; and the amount of shade cast by the tree will also be reduced.
